i am so going to make a collage out of these pictures, hang them up on my wall. maybe ask petco if i can hang one up by their turtle tank. they haven't procured the proper licensing to sell them yet, but hopefully seeing baby size vs. mama size will help anyone looking to buy be more responsible in their decision.
when i first got them a friend of mine was helping me with suggestions on a tank setup. i'll avoid turning it into a tedious story and just post the dialogue:
me: about how many gallons will that hold
him: like, thirty
me: oh, i'd need a lot more than that
him: for little turtles?
me: they get bigger!
him: *surprised look*
it was rather amusing. they've not even grown an inch yet and people are already commenting on how big they've gotten.
