I've seen this stuff in petstores in the past, but haven't noticed it being sold anywhere lately. It looks nice, but I passed on it for the very reason you've mentioned--- the pieces are very small. There may not be a problem with eating it if the pieces remain intact, however, the leaves on most of the plastic plants I've bought eventually break off, and I didn't want to chance anything that small floating around the tank.
