Habitat - Indoor :: What size of a tank should i get?

I want this tank to last, but i dont have that much room in my own room, I pretty much have a cornor in my room. I dont mind using a rubbermaid container for now but i do hope to upgrade one day ( after i get a part-time job) just keep in mind that i have a limited amount of cash.

Hey, you posted at my introduction. Anyways their about an inch or so, so i can't determine a gender. My mom think's a turtle is a waste money but I got it anyways. I will bike it to the herp vet if i have to. I just want to have a decent size tank for this turtle

No, Im 16 and my mom doesnt want me get a credit card since i have no credit and she doesnt think a turtle needs a big tank since its so small, i tried showing her pictures of how she will turn out to be but she still doesnt believe me

30 gallon tanks are perfect starter tanks,they will last you much longer than a 10 or 20 gallon,but if you want something that is going to last you a couple of years if not forever,aim for a 100 gallon.With a little rearanging in your bedroom,you could probably fit one in theyre.Keep in mind rubbermaids are excellent homes for turtles and you can find a 50 gallon one for less than 10$.Its good that you're getting a part time job,RES arent easy pets and they require lots of money and medical care when they get sick,i know what its like.Im 16 too,i had to get a job because of my babys .


P.S. My mom was realy stubborn when i told her how much space my turtles needed,she absolutely refused to beileve that they were going to grow more than 1 inch,then i showed her this.....

Her eyes went ...wow,that big?,she said.
