what does it mean if one has really light color ears???

nothing, not all RES have RED ears. You might have 2 different kinds of RES or the same kind with different coloring. You could post pics to be sure

there are more than 1 kind of red ear sliders? both babu and brownie are babies and have very light color ears too. its almost yellowish/red or very faded red. i just figuered the colors would become more viberant red as they get older. imma gonna hab to hurry up and post some pics.

The "ears" can be red or any variation; some RES don't have red ears at all.
