Okay so we all know how adorable our little babies are & this may be a silly question but I want to ask it anyways!! lol
I always want to kiss my res like I do with my other pets.. However I stop myself because of all the Salmonella issues...
Is it safe to kiss her little beak, or not??

Heck no! Do not kiss your turtle. He is pooping in the tank and you are kissing him? It would be like kissing a toilet bowl that someone else just used. NO!

I just see a cute little turtle & want to show her some love... I am so not used to having a turtle I'm used to cuddily furry animals...

Id say just lay your cheek against his shell if you wanna show effection. Ive dont that before

Then wash your cheek and hands with antibiotic soap. Dry off with towel and then wash the towel.

Turtles don't need to be shown love. Their brain does not develop feelings. It's scientifically proven, not my opinion.
If you want to show them love, give them the right environment, diet, and lighting.

Yeah, sometimes when I get really excited and wanna show affection i just place my cheek against her shell. I think the physical act of kissing a turtle would actually feel weird lol. all the wrinkly skin and such Just pet the turtle hehe

lol i would not kiss a turtle. i thought about it but it doesn't sound like something reccomended. and like bulldog said, you might get bitten... which isn't pretty

If you want to let your turtle know how much you care just give them a special tasty treat. Mine LOVE bits of cooked shrimp. They still won't actually see it as love, but they will love it none the less!
