He likes his fish friends, he only likes to eat fancy guppies. He will follow fish around and just stare at them! He also enjoys popping the snails off the glass, but he doesn't eat them.

Yeah, yeah, you guys are so nit picky!!

He doesn't bask when I am around, so when I leave I put the UVB on the ATBA, and when I am home I keep it on the water side. I figure he probably gets some benefit from the light even through the water since he loves his little jungle corner

BTW that light on the basking area WAS a a fancy combo bulb. But the dang UVA UVB light went out, all the pet stores around here stopped carrying them. I resorted to ordering online and the darn thing won't work! So basically it's a 75 dollar heat lamp... freakin lame. Okay, rant complete.

Natural sunlight is the best lighting your turtle can get. So 30 mins of natural sunlight a day is perfect.

I am not sure the brand or anything, but it's fully submersible and very strong. It took me a while to figure out how to set it where it didn't create a whirlpool in the tank. I have a side mounting one I am planning on adding, but the lip on the side of the aquarium is thicker than average, for some reason, so I have to try and think of something fancy to rig it up.

No advance..... but that looks like a cheap 10 gallon submersible filter.
Submersible filters are not good.....
Look on the filter find the name and brand i would love to know.
I say i would save my money for a canister filter or a nice aquwa filter.

Anyhow...
I HAD to get a submersible filter when I had my 29 gallon because my ATBA didn't allow me any other options. I got the largest submersible filter I could find, which is 20 gallon, not 10. If submersibles are so crappy why do you care what brand it is? Considering I never had any issues with my water quality while it was in the smaller tank I would say that was a good filter...

Naturally, moving to the larger tank I knew I would need more filtration. Like I said, I have another filter, that I actually rigged up last night so I now have 2 filters going. I clean my tank often and have never had any issues with with my water, which I test weekly.
