I need some help here I am in a dilama with myself as usuall !
But for those owners of aquariums and fish or people that know about fish etc..I need to know how many fish I could put into a 25 gallon tank I think if I did the math right 95 litters into gallons is 25 gallons I may not be sure on that.But what kind of fish do you recomend? How many fish can I put into a 95 litter aqarium?I have searched the internet but haven't found anything to answer my question about 25 gallons yet.Thank you for reading this post I hope you will reply:)!

It all depends on the type of fish you plan on getting on how many you can put in a tank. For instance, I have a pair of Convict Cichlids in a 20L tank and that's all I can have in there. It goes by the "inches" of fish not the number. check out this website.. http://www.petfish.net they have a lot of really good advice.

Cichlids are great fish to watch.. my convicts breed at the drop of the hat and they are super easy to care for. Live bearers (guppies, mollies, etc.) are fun but you really have to keep an eye on the water quality. With the cichlids you don't have to be as concerned. But check out that website and see what you find interesting and doable.

It also depends on what kind of fish. If you've never had pet fish before I suggest just starting out with goldfish or black moors. They're sold in almost all local pet stores and some general stores (Wal*Mart). They also get along pretty well with each other. I have a calico goldfish (named Boq) and a goldfish/black moor breed (named Captain Astro). I have them in a 10 gallon tank.

I bought the Captain almost two years ago and Boq almost a year ago. They're happy and healthy.

I really don't suggest getting more than one or two fish just because you might not want to over-whelm yourself since you already have a turtle.

The rule of thumb with fishtanks is 1inch per gallon of water you have. So, goldfish get around 10 inches long full grown. So, you could get two of those, and maybe a small algae eater. Algae eaters, the small cories get about 2 or 3 inches long. Here's a pic of my tank. It's a 35 gallon, and I'm upgrading in a few years.

Thanks for the picture of your fish tank:) Emily!Also I have had fish b4 I a Tiger Barb fish and some neo tetra fish but it was along time ago though.A corie wich one in your tank is a corie (if you have one). Also couldn't I just add 3 or 5 or 6 little fish and maybe two big ones like the tiny little fish with the silver stripe and two big ones?

I don't have any cories in my fish tank. They are a small algae eater that stay small.

one inch per gallon is the guidlines.
I've cheated and had a thriving, lush 20g years ago. I had 2 gold angels, 3 pearl gourami, pictus cat, and a group of these cute tiny goby. And the really funny thing, 2 male bettas + 2 females....because of how lush it was, the males never fought

they would face each other, display and RUN! heheh

The thing to remember is the 1" per gallon is to be for the ADULT size of the fish not the current size. You may have a 1" fish that will grow to be 6-8".. that's what you have to keep in mind. I have 2 fish that are a total of about 2-3" each and they have a 20 gallon to themselves because that's the best environment for that species, so although it's a rule of thumb, it's not always the way to go

O ya I have some fish but they just alllllll are hanging in their LOL!I things bards and I can't think of the other fish but they go in their also!:)I think I am going to get some more though!

Actually, the one inch rule does not apply to goldish. Goldfish enthusiasts will say at least 10 gallons for each small goldfish up to about 4" with tail, after that, 15-20 gallons each and if they are comets and reaching 10" or longer, they should be in a pond. Not only that, but because GF are filthy, the filtration should be 10x the GPH of the water volume.
