Those are very cool pics..,.but I would be ral concrned about him flipping over the edge. If he can get that far, he can easily fall out.

i am careful with the turts. that was something that caught me off gaurd. i do have a piece of plexi glass screwed into their cond so when they walk up the bask they cannot fall out. the tubing that is in the tank from the filter is new so she found another way to peek her head out. dumbledore does 'check' on me when she sees me near. she pulls her head up to see over the tank. if a turt is on one end of the tank and i want to feed from the other end i just show the turts the can of food and slide along the tank and they will swim along with the can til we get to the other side. i still need to come up with my suction cup leash to walk my fat turt!

Great idea having the screen so you can keep the water up to max hieght! How are you keeping the screen stable on the left side there to clamp on the light? And how are you keeping the turtle from climbing out of the hole where the light goes through?
I really like that I want to try it, it looks like it will cut down on noise and provide more swimming room!

I love your basking setup in the first pic. I have the dock for my turtle, but he is getting very large. He would LOVE a larger basking place like you have! I may look in to setting something up like that for him.

Oh, and I love their HP names. Very cute. ;)

Does anybody know what that green mat type thing is coming into the basking area, cause I'm thinking about getting something like that?

It looks like shelf liner (the kind that prevents objects from slipping).
