herbie has been swimming along the side of his tank and a few times he would start scratching and biting at it is that normal?

it sounds like he is trying to attack his reflection in the glass. They think that they are seing another turtle in their water space and sometimes they are very teritorial and want the "new guy" to leave.

That's a good explanation...Zeke does this only without the biting. He swims back and forth in his tank and flutters his claws in front of him at me.

Actually he seems to be following me throughout the room. He does this for attention I believe.

Generally faces me. Likes to watch what I'm doing and if I move he follows me.

He does beg quite a bit....learned quickly not to give in to those cute 'turtle' eyes of him. He always looks at me like he's starving. He was rescued so is a bit under weight so gets fed more often than he will once he's completely healthy, but he's still quite the little begger
