So i'm not 100% positive- but Leo should be around 9 months old... i know 3 months off but she's EXACTLY 4 inches as of yesterday! Short nails and a short tail at 4 inches says she's a girl...right??

Well whatever the case Brandon has decided the name stays at 'Leo'!

here are some updated pictures of a day in the life of Leo::

first thing in the morning...begging! (typical!)

and then the meal!

just looking pretty for the camera!

ready for her close up!!!! (sorry so blurry)

gettin a little exercise... doin a few pull ups!

Either way, the tangarine lipstick look suits her! Nice pics!

I don't know that I'd send out announcements yet on her (or his) femininity. You are probably right but he might just be a late bloomer.

that's why I thought I'd post about the sex because I wasn't sure if it was 4 inches or if I really should wait until a year to make sure!

I think Leo can join the "We just have big girls" club with Beaker and Spike! I bet she hits 5 inches by a year too, which is where my girl and one of greygoose's girls were at a year.

Do you have a UVB bulb? I only see one lamp, unless your using a combo bulb. Anyway, leo looks great!

she needs to stop growing!!!! lol Brandon and I got the 75 gallon in anticipation that this would last us atleast 4 years!!

I guess we'll be upgrading sooner then we thought!

There is both a UVB and UVA bulb- the UVB bulb is the one you can't see because that big bright light is blocking it from the pic!

so- off the subject of bulbs- i saw Leo flutter for the first time the other day... and it was at a piece of poop!!! :shock:

my child is strange!! fluttering can happen in both female and male turtles right?
